The course is a compulsory subject for students of the 4th year of the bachelor’s program of the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technology, which:

will help students to form a better idea of ​​modern changes in economic values ​​(impression economy and the fourth industrial revolution), how to move from idea to innovation process, how to find a sustainable business model for your start-up;

will promote the development of entrepreneurial worldview in the academic environment, encourage students to think creatively, find solutions and take action to solve pressing development problems.

Students will be introduced to the theoretical foundations of innovation processes, existing business experience and practical methods / tools and new approaches used to build companies and launch new products. Concepts, methods that will be used during the study will help students to be able to be creative, non-standard thinking (“out-of-the-box”), effective communication and interdisciplinary cooperation, finding opportunities for development and leadership, seeing new projects and gaining confidence in starting your own start-up, with which you can provide a quality product or service to everyone (and everyone) who needs it.

Acquired knowledge and practice of their application during training, development of communication skills will give graduates of the faculty competitive advantages in their professional activities. Today, companies in Ukraine, as well as around the world, are looking for people who are creative in solving problems, who are able to use professional competencies and creative potential to implement innovations that help see the future in IT and start their own business (start-ups). , which is the driving force towards this future.

After studying the discipline, students must:


know the basic principles of experience economics (English experience experience), the specifics of 4 areas of impression economy (passive or active, absorption or immersion), design principles and methods of sending memorable (unforgettable) impressions (English Experience Enhancers) for business development -models.
prospects for IT in the fourth industrial revolution;
theoretical foundations of innovation, how to work in conditions of uncertainty and what is entrepreneurship (history, myths and present);
what is user innovation;
clearly understand and explain the motives and prerequisites for starting your own business (start-ups);
how the method “NABC” – PPPK (need-approach-advantage-competition) is used to evaluate the idea of ​​innovation;
what the team is for and how to build it, the value of partnerships;
Lean Start up method, how a business model canvas is made and what is a minimum viable product (MVP).
how financial institutions work in the investment market, what is venture capital and business angels, their motives and stages of involvement. Financing start-ups without attracting investors (so-called “bootstrapping”).

be able:

identify their opportunities to start their own business;
evaluate the idea of ​​innovative implementation and prospects for its spread in business;
to gather a team that should turn an idea into a real business project, work in a team, demonstrate leadership qualities;
develop a business model for start-up and prepare the concept of “outline of the business model”;
take into account and choose different financial models of business support;
identify and identify potential partners;
build a promotional strategy and present a business project to potential investors.
