Опис навчальної дисципліни
The purpose of teaching the discipline “Applied Information Theory” is to master the basic principles of information theory and coding, such as the concept of entropy and quantitative measures of information, the basic theorems of information theory for discrete communication channels, information about the principles of optimal and noise-resistant coding and their use in modern information systems.
The main objectives of the discipline “Applied Information Theory” are to form the master’s knowledge of information and entropy, principles of signal processing, noise-resistant coding, and construction of digital information transmission systems.
