He was born on 24.07.46 in the Rivne region. After graduating from the Ivan Franko State University of Lviv in 1969 with a degree in radiophysics and electronics, he served in the Armed Forces (1969-1971) and then worked as a design engineer at the Electron Research and Production Association (1971-1973).

In 1973, he was re-enlisted in the Armed Forces, and from 1978 to 1993 served at the Military Department of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv as a lecturer and senior lecturer.

In the period from 1994 to 2006, he worked in the Customs authorities of Ukraine.

From 01.05.16 to the present time – Head of the training laboratory of computer electronics of the Department of System Design of the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technologies.
