The purpose of the industrial (pre-diploma) practice of 2nd year master’s students is to form the competencies necessary to ensure the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of knowledge 12 – Information Technology” in the specialty 122 – Computer Science. To do this, students must have fundamental theoretical and methodological knowledge and practical professional skills in the professional field. In addition, the practice involves students acquiring knowledge and skills for independence and teamwork on the topic of their future specialty: selection of theoretical material and analysis of thematic sources, selection of platforms and software, their correct and successful use during the master’s thesis, as well as in further professional activities. Thus, industrial (pre-diploma) practice is an important element that connects theoretical disciplines related to computer science with practical skills acquired during practice. The internship also prepares students to complete the master’s qualifying final thesis at the final stage of their studies.
