Research interests

  • luminescence and electrical properties of composite polymeric materials with dispersed inorganic nanoparticles;
    study of the mechanisms of cluster formation in semiconductor films of the In-Se system, micro- and nanophases interspersed in halide crystals;
    experimental research and mathematical modeling of kinetic effects in A3B6 semiconductors with nonparabolic dispersion law.

Biography

He graduated with honors from the Faculty of Physics of Lviv State University (LSU) named after Ivan Franko in 1986. He received a full higher education in “Physics” and qualified as a physicist, teacher of physics.

From 1986 to 1989 he worked as an engineer and later as an intern-researcher at the Ivan Franko LSU Research Unit.

From 1989 to 1992 he was a graduate student of the Department of Semiconductor Physics, Ivan Franko State University.

From 1992 to 1994 he worked as a researcher at the Ivan Franko LSU Research Department.

In 1994 he defended his dissertation “Order and electronic properties of In4Se3 crystals”. He was awarded the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics.

From 1994 to 2007 he taught at the Lviv Academy of Veterinary Medicine (since 2003 Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after SZ Gzhytsky) as a senior lecturer and associate professor of physics and mathematics.

In 2002 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor of physics and mathematics.

In 2007 he returned to work at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (LNU), where he still works as an associate professor at the Department of General Physics, Faculty of Physics.

From 2010 to 2018 he served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics of Ivan Franko Lviv National University for educational and methodological work.

From October 2015 to April 2016, he served as Head of the Department of General Physics.

On September 11, 2019 he defended his doctoral dissertation “Transformation of electronic excitations in composite luminescent materials.” He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in the field of semiconductor and dielectric physics.

On December 16, 2019 he received a diploma of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

On November 1, 2020 he was transferred to the position of Professor of General Physics, Faculty of Physics.

Supervisor of candidate dissertations.

In different years he was the executor of state budget and economic contract topics. He has published 120 scientific papers. Received 7 patents of Ukraine for inventions and utility models.
