Опис навчальної дисципліни

The subject of the study of the discipline is the methodology of modern methods of project management, including IT project management, familiarization with the structure of projects and their life cycle, calendar, resource and cost designing and monitoring of IT projects.
Interdisciplinary connections: to study the discipline, knowledge is needed from such disciplines: system analysis, organization of databases and knowledge, designing of information systems. Knowledge obtained during the study of discipline will be used in the study of the following disciplines: decision-making theory, system modeling, management theory.
As a result of the course’s study, students develop a broad set of methods and tools for project management within the framework of the, so-called, project triangle, which are the necessary basis for organization and operation of IT projects.
According to the requirements of the educational and professional program students must:
Know: IT project management methodology, PMBOK standards, peculiarities and character work in the environment of graphical user interfaces and rules of work in the environment of IT project management programs; approaches to structuring operations, as the basis for building network charts of projects; methods for optimizing and solving linear and nonlinear problems, teamwork principles, team values, and the basics of conflictology.
Be able: to create software configurations for optimizing the data used by IT projects; to implement an optimal approach to the choice of application software for project management; work with programs of construction and support of projects; build network charts of projects and conduct their analysis, select and prepare information and tasks for the project team, set goals and formulate tasks for the implementation of projects and programs.
