Опис навчальної дисципліни

Course “Computer graphic” is the normative discipline of the cycle of mathematical and natural science studying.

The aim of teaching the discipline “Computer Graphics” is to create students with the skills and abilities required to create 2D and 3D computer graphics, processing information presented in graphical form, studying methods and algorithms for image processing.

The subject: to ensure acquaintance of students with the features of digital image processing, the study of digital filtering algorithms and image compression; mastering of theoretical material and practical mastering of modern graphic-information technologies, computer and software tools for creation, processing and visualization of raster and vector images.

Interdisciplinary connections: For the study of discipline, knowledge is required on the following disciplines: higher mathematics, discrete mathematics, algorithm theory, algorithmization and programming, object-oriented programming. Knowledge obtained during the study of discipline will be used in the study of the following disciplines: web technology, computer vision, digital signal processing and information.

Know: principles of creating and preserving digital images; visualization algorithms: rasterization, stripping, coloring, removing invisible lines and surfaces; methods of constructing, transforming and analyzing graphic information; technology of two- and three-dimensional graphic modeling in graphic editors, graphic processes for displaying 3D graphics, algorithms for lowering projections.

Be able to: use modern software tools for solving tasks of graphic modeling and programming; develop interactive graphic applications, analyze complex graphic images; to evaluate the quality of raster and vector images; use computer graphics software to create graphic design elements; create graphic projects.
