Опис навчальної дисципліни

Курс спрямований на розвиток у студентів магістерської програми необхідних знань та сформованих на їх базі інтегрованих навичок володіння професійною та науково-академічною англійською мовою для успішного усного та письмового спілкування. У курсі використовується комплекс різноманітних методів для проведення практичних занять та самостійної роботи студентів.

The practical aim of the discipline is to develop students’ general and professionally oriented communicative language competences (linguistic, sociolinguistic and pragmatic) to ensure their effective communication in a professional environment at a level corresponding to C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The developmental objective of the discipline involves the consistent, step-by-step development of students’ knowledge, skills, communication abilities, memory, attention, logical, creative thinking, as well as the volitional qualities necessary to ensure a successful professional career for future specialists.
The general educational goal of the discipline is to master the technologies of obtaining, systematising and summarising educational information, enriching the spiritual world of students, broadening their horizons, developing the ability to organise and apply learning tools for self-education.
The educational goal is to prepare students of a higher education institution for life in a dialogue of cultures and peoples; to enhance students’ ability to further study English and be more open to new cultural experiences; to master the norms of business etiquette.
Aims of the discipline: to develop students’ receptive and productive skills in various types of speech activities.
