Опис навчальної дисципліни

The purpose of teaching the discipline is to provide students with knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of information representation and processing in various fields. The concept and interpretation of information theory are considered. Different types of information representation of harmonic and non-harmonic signals and algorithms for fast computation of information data are analyzed. The theoretical issues related to the processing of non-periodic one- and multidimensional signals in the time-frequency wavelet domain are considered. Specific directions of using such transforms for filtering, compression and estimation of information parameters are indicated. The prospects of using these methods to create highly secure digital markers are emphasized.

After completing the course, students should be able to:

Identify various information signals. Work with physical signal sensors and convert signals into information. Create highly secure digital signatures using discrete cosine and small-wave transforms. Apply digital signatures of varying complexity to documents and images in various formats. Perform discrete convolution of information signals, as well as their scaling, compression, and time shifting. Use the Z-transform and the Hilbert transform. Perform nonlinear transformations of information signals. Calculate the correlation and autocorrelation of signals to reduce information noise.
